These terms govern your use of Spoken Lantern. By using the app you agree to them. They supplement Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com.
The service
Spoken Lantern converts documents you provide into spoken-word narration you can listen to on your devices.
Subscription
- Spoken Lantern is an auto-renewing subscription: $7.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions.
- If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Your content
You keep ownership of the documents you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and synthesize them solely to provide narration to you. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload, and you agree not to upload unlawful content or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Narration is generated by automated systems and may contain errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for violations of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
